Search Type 2: Searching for New or Unfamiliar Works

To begin a search, follow the Detail Search link to the left of the home page (please note that for the purposes of this Tutorial, you will not follow this link!). Following this link will take you to the Music-In-Print Master Index from which you can include criteria for numerous fields.

First, decide on the instrumentation or category and select the general area in the database (optional). Type in some "feeler" information - either full or partial terms, words, or names. See what the results look like, and be prepared to hit the Back button on your browser as you refine your search!
